AI innovation is increasingly happening across an open ecosystem of models, frameworks, tools, runtimes and infrastructure. For enterprises, this creates an opportunity to build AI differently, with greater choice over the models they use, where they run them, how they customize them and how their data is managed.
In this webinar, we will explore the rapidly evolving open AI ecosystem and what it means for enterprise AI adoption. We will look beyond models to understand the broader stack , from open-source and open-weight models to inference runtimes, agent frameworks, data platforms, development tools and infrastructure. We will also examine an important question: what does “open” actually mean in AI? Open source and open weights are not necessarily the same, and understanding that distinction becomes important when considering licensing, transparency, customization and control.
Through the lens of the Dell AI ecosystem, we will discuss how an open approach can give organizations the flexibility to bring together the models and software they choose with infrastructure that supports AI from the data center to the edge. The goal is not openness for its own sake. It is understanding how an open ecosystem can give enterprises choice, flexibility and control while avoiding unnecessary lock-in as AI continues to evolve.
